JAMB releases results of 2025 mock UTME

Published by

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted nationwide on Thursday, April 10.

According to the Board, candidates who participated in the optional mock exam can now access their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number used during registration.

The mock UTME, which serves as a rehearsal for the main exam, is aimed at familiarising candidates with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format and assessing the functionality of new features introduced by JAMB for the 2025 exam cycle.

Out of the 200,113 registered candidates, 126,181 eventually sat for the exam. A total of 73,844 candidates were absent, while 88 others were unable to participate due to failed biometric verification.

JAMB disclosed that results for 115,735 candidates are now available, while 10,446 results are still being processed and will be released in due course.

The examination body acknowledged challenges encountered by some candidates during the test, noting that such glitches were largely due to the introduction of new innovations being piloted ahead of the main UTME.

“We regret any inconvenience caused and appreciate the understanding and support of both candidates and parents,” the Board stated.

JAMB reiterated that the mock UTME continues to be an important tool for improving the examination process, helping the Board refine its operations while offering candidates vital hands-on experience.

“Over the years, this initiative has successfully achieved its objectives, addressing noted lapses and equipping candidates with valuable experience for the main examination,” the Board added.

JAMB urged candidates to remain focused and committed, encouraging them to make the necessary preparations for a smooth and successful UTME experience.

The statement was signed by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, Head of Public Affairs and Protocol at JAMB.
