JAMB: Ex-Registrar Ojerinde restates commitment to Oloyede’s success

About eight weeks after leaving office as the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Dibu Ojerinde has restated his commitment to the success of his successor in the office, Professor Ishaq Oloyede.

Ojerinde noted that “his success would be my success, because that is the only thing that can make me happy and justify my service and sacrifices, which Nigerians honour me for today.”

Ojerinde, who stated this in Ilorin, on Saturday, during a reception organised in his honour by the Unity Group, Igboho, which comprise indigenes of Ojerinde’s home town, Igboho, said that he had been privileged to be the only Nigerian to have served as Chief Executive of different Federal Government agencies for about 24 years, adding that he would return to the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he would be able to impart knowledge and experiences to the coming generations.

Speaking at the event, a former governor of Oyo State and chairman of the occasion, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, lauded the ex-JAMB Registrar for performing miracles at JAMB and bringing about standard and excellence in the education sector, saying: “Many of us are proud of Professor Ojerinde and his achievements in the education sector and service to this country.

Earlier, the chairman of the Unity Group, Chief Olawuwo Oni, said the group organised the event to honour Ojerinde for his selfless and meritorious service to Nigeria, noting that for years, Ojerinde has distinguished himself as a lover of his community, Igboho, Oke-Ogun, Oyo State and Nigeria.
