As part of activities set aside to commemorate the 2025 International Women’s Day, the President National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA), Mrs Susan Akporarie, will on Monday, challenge women for more involvement in the travels sector.
At a virtual event organised by NANTA Lagos zone commemorating the day on Tuesday by 12 pm, Akporarie will critically assess the role of women in the Nigerian travel trade economy.
According to a statement by the newly-elected publicity secretary for Lagos zone, Mrs Yewande Philip Ogunbiyi, the virtual event has the theme, “Inspiring Inclusion, Investing in Women.”
“President, National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA), Mrs Susan Akporarie, will take the center stage Tuesday on the wing of virtual waves to address and inspire women in Nigeria travel business to brace for greater presence in the emerging sector.
“Tuesday March 5th is a day set aside globally to celebrate the International Women’s Day and in Nigeria, the auspicious occasion will be celebrated by the women in NANTA Lagos zone to critically assess the role of women in the Nigerian travel trade economy.
“The NANTA women event is inspired by the Lagos zone newly elected publicity secretary, Mrs Yewande Philip Ogunbiyi with the theme, Inspiring Inclusion, Investing in Women,” the statement read.
