The Jigawa State People Democrats Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general elections, Dr Mustapha Sule Lamido, has advocated more government commitment to women’s education and healthcare services.
The gubernatorial candidate made the call in a post made on his official Facebook page as part of the 2025 International Women’s Day (IWD) celebration.
Lamido said considering the present situation of challenges women were in dear needs of urgent and unconditional government attention at all levels that would support and improves their social and economical lives.
According to him, “I join the women in Nigeria and beyond to commemorate the International Women’s Day. As a family man and politician, I acknowledge the modern challenges faced by our mothers and sisters.
“I call for increased commitment at all levels to improve their lives especially through education and healthcare.”
He, therefore, congratulated the women in Jigawa state and Nigeria for the day and enjoyed them to courageous endures to overcome all challenges for better lives.
