Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has congratulated women as they celebrate the 2025 International Women’s Day.
In a message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor acknowledged the indispensable role of women in nation-building.
He described women as unique, loving, compassionate, supportive, innovative, and hardworking.
The governor also commended the resilience and perseverance of women, highlighting their strong mental ability to manage situations effectively.

He noted that his administration has been women-friendly and will continue to improve inclusivity in governance.
Governor Bago reiterated that more empowerment programs would be initiated and several opportunities created to uplift the lives of women in the state.

While congratulating women worldwide on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Governor Umaru Bago urged them to remain focused and steadfast in reshaping society by instilling the right values in children and youth to help them become better citizens.
