IWD: Ekwubiri appointed head of partnership at World Women Leading Change

The biggest independent global all-women organization, World Women Leading Change (WWLC) has appointed Dr Ogenna Walter Ekwubiri to head the Partnership and collaboration sector of the organization.

Ekwubiri who is the founder of Motivating African Youths Initiative, will be deputized by South Africa’s Zama Mbatho Awuzie.

WWLC founded by Professor Ayla Aldjufrie of Indonesia, has presence in over 55 countries of the world.

This announcement was made at the global conference in commemoration of the International Women’s Day Celebration by, HRH Princess Debbie Raphutti who serves as the Global President.

Ekwubiri was also reappointed as Country President for the fourth year. Other appointees include Judith Mwila of Zambia as WWLC Africa President, Rebecca Morudu to head infrastructural development, Lesego Motshwane (South Africa ) as Global Youth Head, Chase Muluhuma of Namibia, Bernice Bore of Zimbabwe and a host of others.

In line with the 2024 IWD theme #inspireinclusion, Ekwubiri said: “to foster a better world , we must inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, and when women themselves are inspired to be included, there is a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment”.

She promised to continually put Nigeria on the map for positivity and impact. She commended the leadership of the organisation for their faith in her and promised to surpass the set goals.
