To some people, Kukere remains your biggest song of all time, how did you come about the song?
I hooked up with my bro, Ubi Franklin, who introduced me to Dtunes. When I met Dtunes, the song Kukere came alive.
How easy has life been treating you?
The fact is that things never get easier; one just needs to get better at whatever one does so as to keep the flow and never lose focus on the big deals.
How would you describe The Temple Management Company since you joined?
It has been good. The experience has been wonderful and we are gradually putting out new works that will be loved by people. This is our year. Let’s just keep it real and simple. If anyone ever underestimated us, now is a good time to stop. We are built to succeed and the grace and favour of the Almighty is upon us. We are the movement. Nothing is stopping us.
What would you describe as your happiest moment this year?
That should be what happened a few days ago when we shot the video for my new song, Biko in Calabar. I feel blessed to be a blessing to others. I teamed up with The Temple Motion pictures to shoot the visuals in Calabar and it was very great. That, for me, is the happiest moment this year. It was one project I had looked forward to, and now that we have completed it, I feel very great at the moment.
When will you be releasing the video?
The video should be out in two weeks. The team is working hard to make sure everything turns out fine. So, my people should expect it in two weeks.
If you are to talk about your biggest setback in music, what would that be?
The truth is that I have never seen or had any setback in music. It has never happened.

Right now, the number one song on my playlist is Wow, by Brandy. The second on the list is Biko, by Iyanya. Water Fire, by Jeffakoh is number three. Let me go, by Alesso and Hailee Steinfeld, while Miss you by Major Lazer and Tory Lanez is number five. These are top songs for me at this time.

As a famous musician, what is that thing you won’t do for love?
I can’t kill myself for love I beg. I can’t come and kill myself oooo.

I love to keep things real. I hate lies. I don’t honour lies and would never. If you want to have the best of me, just keep it real with me and we are good to go.
How many hearts have you broken since you became famous?
I have never broken any heart, but some people broke mine. I have moved on, though.
