Music legend, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, has said that he lost a great counselor in her late sister, Mrs Caroline Arinola Opaleye (Nee Toriola), who passed on on April 17, a few weeks after the music legend clocked 81.
The Chief Commander while eulogising his late sister during the funeral service held at The Trinity Methodist Church, Itesi, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Friday, said the deceased was a great model and that he learned a lot of virtues from her and that her memories would continue to linger on in his memories.
“I will miss my dear sister, Mrs Caroline Arinola Opaleye (Nee Toriola) greatly. She was everything to me right from my tender age. I grew in her hands. She helped me in so many ways right from my childhood.
“She was my guide and a great counsellor. I have never regretted taking to her advice. I love her so much and I pray God grant her eternal rest.
We have nothing to regret about her life because she was a jewel. I urge the children and the entire family to continue to uphold her legacy” Obey added.
Obey, who stole the show at the church auditorium with his evergreen songs, also dazzled families and well-wishers at the reception, held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) event centre, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
