‘I’ve documents, videos,’ sacked Kano SSG vows to expose govt, others

Abdullahi Bichi, the recently dismissed Secretary to the Kano State Government, has vowed to reveal what he calls “explosive evidence” against political figures, accusing them of deceit and betrayal. Bichi, who was removed from office in December 2024, made the bold statement upon his return from Saudi Arabia.

In a viral video shared with his supporters on Thursday, Bichi declared, “I’m happy I left the office in peace, but let me be clear: this is not the best time to talk. At the right time, we will expose them.”

“I have documents, videos, and voice notes that will show everyone who they really are,” he continued.

The strained relationship between Bichi, Governor Abba Yusuf, and his former mentor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, became public following Bichi’s suspension from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) on October 14, 2024.

Calling the leaders “masters of betrayal,” Bichi asserted that his evidence would expose the true nature of their political ties. “They don’t know anything except treachery. They can’t be trusted,” he added.

The announcement has sparked speculation among political analysts and residents of Kano, with many eager to see if Bichi will follow through with his threats and what impact it could have on the state’s political environment.

Bichi was accused of attempting to sever Governor Yusuf’s connections with Kwankwaso’s political influence, a move that led to his suspension from the party, along with then Transportation Commissioner Muhammad Diggol.

Hashimu Dungurawa, the State NNPP Chairman, confirmed the suspension, explaining that it followed numerous complaints from party leaders at the ward and local government levels.

“The party cannot tolerate actions that undermine its leadership and structure,” Dungurawa said.

“After receiving formal complaint letters from their wards, and confirming the allegations through local leadership, we had no other option but to take this decisive step.”

The Kano North NNPP leadership, led by Sulaiman Dambatta, also corroborated the accusations, leading to the suspension of both officials.
