Reports said the 90-year-old elder statesman died at about 9:00 p.m on Wednesday at a private hospital in Warri, Delta State.
The deceased younger brother, Joe Ayomike, confirmed the passage in a terse statement on Wednesday night.
He said that the former leader of Itsekiri apex socio-cultural umbrella, Itsekiri Leaders of Thought (ILoT) died at the age of 90.
“Pa J O S Ayomike has just passed on peacefully in a Warri private hospital at about 9 pm today (Wednesday) 4th October 2017.
“He was aged 90 on April 7th, 2017”, the statement read, ” the statement read.
