It Is Time For Gov Wike To Work With Atiku –OlaOluwa

Published by

Following the continued crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party that has left many chieftains dissatisfied with the happenings, a card caring member of the party and one of Nigeria’s most promising young entrepreneurs, Julius OlaOluwa, has called on both camps to shield their sword and embrace peace.

OlaOluwa noted that the party structure is held by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, who have given their all to make sure the party wins the 2023 elections.

Though pointing out that Governor Wike was fighting a just cause for the people of his region and other aggrieved party faithful, he noted that his approach is wrong and it’s making him look less serious.

The Rivers State governor and his allies, which include four other PDP governors, are insisting on the resignation of the National Chairman, Dr Iyorchai Ayu, as a condition for supporting Atiku Abubakar at the poll.

“Atiku’s rallies have been widely accepted. The campaigns are going on smoothly; so far so good, there is wide acceptance of Atiku everywhere he has gone to the campaign.”

“Wike and his allies have a right to talk and they have a right to support whoever they deem fit but equating themselves as one individual being the totality of votes from their states is an irresponsible statement to make,” OlaOluwa stated.

However, the G-5 Governors under the leadership of Wike are insisting that the party should blame its National Chairman in the event it loses the presidential election.

This, they said, was because Ayu has consistently demonstrated a level of arrogance that is alien to an opposition party that intends to win an election.

But Julius OlaOluwa believes that Wike and Atiku can come to a compromise to move the party forward and win the 2023 elections.
