AN Islamic group, Jama’atul Tajdidil Islamy, has constructed eight multimillion naira mosques for the benefit of communities in some local government areas of JIgawa State.
In a statement in Dutse, the state chairman of the group, Sheikh Isma’il Ahmad Kude, said the group was able to execute the projects with the support of various Islamic foundations.
Sheikh Kude noted that the projects include mosques designated for the five daily prayers and those meant for Juma’at.
According to him, four mosques for the five daily prayers have been completed and put into use.
The chairman maintained that “the remaining mosques, three of which are Juma’at mosques and one daily prayers mosques, are under construction and will be completed soon.”
He said the Jama’atul Tajdidil Islamy in the state was responsible for searching for the places deemed to be need of the worship centres.
“The Juma’at mosques are also used for the daily prayers and for Islamic schools (Islamiyya) where children take lesson in the afternoon and married women take theirs in the night,” the chairman noted.
