The Chief Imam of Ogbomoso land, Dr Yunus Ayilara has charged Nigerians to promote love, unity and peace in the country.
He said this on Sunday in Ibadan during a post-Ramadan lecture organised by the Polytechnic Ibadan Muslim Community.
Ayilara, who was a guest speaker at the event, stressed the need for Nigerians to live in love and unity irrespective of their religion, culture and tradition.

He further emphasized that the difference in culture and religion of people should not be a barrier for them to live in peace and harmony.
The cleric who expressed worry over the inability of some clerics to speak the truth in their teachings urged Islamic clerics to always speak the truth to people.
He lamented that conflicts of interest among others are responsible for the inability of clerics to preach the truth during their teachings.
While he warned Nigerians against cheating one another, he added that Nigerians should give one another equal treatment.
He said, “Let us use this occasion to promote peace and unity among diverse communities irrespective of our religion, culture and tradition.
“We should treat one another equally, respect the religion practiced by each other, and desist from cheating one another.”
Speaking the Chairman, Muslim community, and the Polytechnic Ibadan, Dr Duro Ogunsesan explained that the lecture is meant to teach people what to do after Ramadan.
He, however, urged Muslims and non-muslims to imbibe the spirit of unity.
"Had the people known, they wouldn’t have voted for you,” he said.
