As part of efforts to commemorate its 50th anniversary, the Christian Women Fellowship International (CWFI) has honoured the Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Genius Hub, Isimeme Whyte, with an award of excellence for her social impact.
Isimeme Whyte was one of 50 exceptional women whose achievements were celebrated by CWFI while recognizing their outstanding contributions to society with the prestigious Golden Jubilee Award of Excellence.
The awards ceremony, a central feature of CWFI’s anniversary celebrations, took place at the Church of God Mission International (CGMI) Balm of Gilead City.
Isimeme Whyte was acknowledged for her multi-sector expertise in EdTech, entrepreneurship, community advocacy, migration, and digital transformation within the MSME sector. Her leadership at Genius Hub. A Hub and Technical and Vocational Education Centre (TVET), has driven significant socioeconomic growth, impacting over 17,000 beneficiaries including youths, women, and returned irregular migrants and VOT.
Genius Hub, under Whyte’s visionary leadership, has become a beacon of hope, offering a wide array of programs including self-discovery and life management skills, certified TVET skills, digital skills training, and entrepreneurial business development. The organization’s reach has expanded beyond Nigeria, establishing regional offices in Lagos, Kano, Rwanda, and other parts of Africa, further amplifying its impact.
The Christian Women Fellowship International, a leading interdenominational organization dedicated to women’s empowerment, has been at the forefront of promoting spiritual growth, community service, and development for five decades. The Golden Jubilee Awards served to highlight and celebrate the extraordinary achievements of women who embody CWFI’s core values.
In her keynote address, Archbishop Margaret E. Benson Idahosa, President General of CWFI and Archbishop of the Church Of God Mission International, emphasized the crucial role of empowered women in building a better world. She commended the awardees for their exemplary leadership and urged them to continue using their influence to uplift others.
“As CWFI embarks on the next 50 years of its mission, the organization remains steadfast in its commitment to recognizing and supporting women who are making a significant impact in their communities and beyond”, she said.
While acknowledging the award, Isimeme Whyte expressed deep gratitude for the recognition, stating that her accomplishments would not have been possible without the unwavering support of her family, particularly her husband, Dr Whyte, who she credited with giving her the wings to soar. She also paid tribute to her parents, team, and colleagues for their unwavering support.
Whyte extended her appreciation to Christian Women Fellowship International for nominating her, noting that the award serves as a powerful motivation to continue her impactful work in the community.
“I am deeply humbled and honoured to receive this award. It is a privilege to be recognised for the ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME CWFI@50 Award of Excellence. I am grateful to Christian Women Fellowship International for putting this together and nominating me as a recipient for this Award of Excellence. Your recognition means a great deal to me and serves as a motivation to continue the good work,” she said.
