The Governing Council of the International Society of Diplomats (ISD) has appointed Ambassador Tasie Njemonwu Daniel, as Country Director to the Togolese Republic.
Daniel, who has been a Special Emissary of the organisation, is a Nigerian of River State origin.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated October 2nd, 2024, written and signed by his Excellency, the Secretary General of the International Society of Diplomats, Amb. Manuel Fernandez.
As contained in the letter, the appointment is for an initial period of two years and subject to renewal.
According to Fernandez in the letter, the newly appointed ISD Country Director to the Togolese Republic, Daniel is expected to form synergy with the national government of his host country, promote International Cooperation with other relevant authorities and provide expert advice on issues related to International Diplomacy, among others.
“You are expected to form synergy with the national government of your host country through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, promote international cooperation with other relevant authorities and provide expert advice on issues related to International diplomacy, economy, trade and investment, peace and social justice,” he said.
