Is INEC really set for election?

Published by

I wonder where the sanity of the Nigerian election process went and when the Nigerian dream would be achieved; the dream of the founding fathers of the nation who, through sweat and blood, sacrificed all they could for a better Nigeria.

Lagos will generate 1,000MWs in 18 months, 3,000MWs in 4 years ― Agbaje

I wonder what the root of the problem is, where the power drunk leaders got their wings from, why the present evolving leadership became less caring and attentive to the needs of the masses, who threw the rights of the people down the drain and who will save the nation and make it the giant of Africa again.

Nigeria’s story will fill books and fill rooms and would have no space to fit into if it were told and now we have the stories in our hearts, both young and old. If at this stage, majority starts to doubt the competence of the electoral body of the country, then are we prepared for this better Nigeria? Democracy embodies and signifies the power of the Independent Electoral Commission must not be tampered with.  The power left for the Nigerian masses is the power in their votes. If this is ruined, it leaves the people with a mind of hopelessness. The right to vote stands and this is justification that any activity that threatens this right is hazardous to the growth and development of the nation.

In preparation for the general elections, we have to be assured of the safety of our votes, the electoral body must stay independent of nepotism, bribery and corrupt practice associated with the new way of the Nigerian voting system and the readiness to announce the truthful results, if the right of the people is not altered in this election and INEC stays afloat the distractions of  power drunk villains who are not ready to fulfill their blueprints, then we can say INEC is ready for a free and fair election.

Elections should be devoid of corruption if Nigeria would move forward. Voting speaks the mind of a person’s preferences and that should not be tampered with.
