The Interparty Advisory Council, IPAC Osun State chapter congratulates the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, over his victory at the Supreme Court which upheld his election as the duly elected Governor of the State at the July 16, 2022 Governorship poll.
In a statement jointly signed by its chairman Wale Adebayo and its secretary , Dr Tosin Odeyemi on Wednesday in Osun , IPAC described the court verdict as an indication of the wish and mandate of the people of Osun.
“The judgment of the Supreme Court has restored the confidence Nigerians repose in the Judiciary and the hope for the sustenance of democracy in our country,’’
While the group commended the Supreme Court for its courage in upholding justice and reaffirming Adeleke’s victory
IPAC in the statement urged Adeleke to use the mandate given to him to make the state a good example in the country and adding that he keep to campaign promises to improve the quality of the citizens.
“This ruling has once again reaffirmed the powers and responsibility of INEC to act as an unbiased umpire.
“We however congratulate you on your success as you take up the challenges that await you in your exalted office in Osun State.
“We urge Governor to use the mandate given to him by the good people of Osun to make our dear state a shining example to the rest of the. country. I hope that he will work tirelessly to deliver on his campaign promises and to improve the quality of life for all citizens.
“We will be there to support his efforts in a bid to make our state the pride of all states.We will also criticize his government objectively when necessary”, the statement reads.
