NIGERIANS have been charged to emulate the life and legacy of Prophet Muhammad for improved quality of life for individuals and the nation in general.
A preacher, Sheikh Sannu Shehu, gave the charge at the maiden edition of Inspiration 100.5 FM’s Mawlid Nabiyy public lecture, held at the Trans Amusement Park, Ibadan, on Tuesday.
Shehu, who was the guest lecturer at the event, urged Muslims to always celebrate the birth of the Prophet in outstanding ways that would promote Islam and unite the people.
He urged parents to continue to sensitise their children and redouble their efforts at promoting good family values.
The preacher called on government at all levels to make life meaningful for Nigerians.

General Manager of Inspiration FM, Ibadan, Olufunmilayo Olasogba, reiterated the radio station’s commitment to the promotion of peace and unity which, she said, Islam represents.
According to her, irrespective of religion, Inspiration FM is out as a family radio to build the society as an entity and will continue to promote unity among the people.
She urged everyone to support one another and be the best they could be to promote peaceful coexistence in their localities.
The chairman of the occasion, Abdul Kabir Tijani, urged Nigerians to live up to the legacy of the Prophet Mohammed, noting that it was important to follow the teachings of the Prophet for a better life for all.
