Insecurity: Estate firm donates drones to Police in Ondo, Ekiti

As part of efforts to effectively check and combat crimes and criminality, a Real Estate investor, Boing Luxury Estates, has donated surveillance drones to Zone 17 which consist of Ondo and Ekiti states.

The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Martins Akinseloyin, while donating the drones to Zone 17, said the donation was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

Akinseloyin said the surveillance drones will help the police to monitor criminal activities in all parts of the states

He expressed the firm’s readiness to establish synergy with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies  across the country in order to eradicate criminal activities in Ondo and Ekiti states

According to him, the philosophy of the firm is that there can never be development in a society where peace eludes them, hence the need for the donation.

The company’s GMD noted that contemporary technologies will play a significant roles towards enforcement of laws and towards effective battle against crime.

He said “We are of the opinion of giving back to the society that has done so much for us as we are marking our 10th anniversary in doing business in Ondo State.

“This is a way of helping the security agencies in the modern and recent ways of fighting crime. This is our corporate social responsibility,”

Akinseloyin said the security situation in the country was alarming, and calls for everybody to play their little ways in supporting security agencies in the country.

He noted that the use of technology and ICT has been helping other climes to combat insecurity effectively.

He, however, called on other well-to-do individuals in the zone to contribute their quota and make the zone safe for all.

Commending the firm, the Assistant Inspector of Police in charge of Zone 17,
Asabi Abiodun, commended the real estate firm gestures towards ensuring a crime free society

Abiodun assured the Boing Luxury Estates that the equipment would be deployed to the two states to enhance maximum efficiency.

The AIG who handed the drones to Commissioners of Police Ekiti and Ondo Commands under the Zone, urged the two head of the security to use the equipment to address insecurity and criminal activities in their domains.

Present at the event is the Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor, Hon Olugbenga Atiba, the Commissioner of Police Ondo State Command, CP Abayomi Oladipo, NSCDC Commandant Ondo State Command, Commandant Oluyemi Ibiloye and Senior Police Officers of the Zone.
