As the gallant troops of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) continue the ongoing fight against insurgency activities in the country, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has commended the courage and commitment of the troops of the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI operating in the North East, Maiduguri, Borno State.
This was contained in a statement made available to defense correspondents in Abuja on Sunday by Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, on the morale-boosting visit of the CAS to the troops in Maiduguri.

According to the statement, while addressing the officers and airmen on the frontline, the CAS declared, “your sacrifices are etched in the history of this nation and in the hearts of millions of Nigerians who sleep safer because of your vigilance.”
It added that the CAS emphasised that their bravery and resilience in the face of adversity have not gone unnoticed and reassured them his commitment to their welfare at all times
The statement explained that the visit of the CAS marked by personal interactions with troops, underscored his deep appreciation for their dedication and the vital role airpower plays in neutralising threats and protecting communities the zone
He added” Commanders briefed the CAS on recent operational gains, showcasing the strategic value of precision air strikes and close air support.”
It further explained that while reaffirming the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to maintaining dominance in the battlespace, the CAS pledged continued investment in cutting-edge technology to empower frontline units.
It pointed out that the visit came at a critical moment, reinforcing the importance of public support for military operations and spotlighting the human element at the heart of national defence.
It added that the Nigerian Air Force remained steadfast in its mission, guided by leadership, strengthened by unity, and driven by the selfless service of its personnel.
