Dele Momodu
A presidential aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Dele Momodu has said beginning to do things on merits by giving opportunities to experts in whatever area is the answer to the lingering security problems in the country.
Momodu said this in Maiduguri on Monday while addressing newsmen on his plans to fix insecurity issues in Nigeria among challenges if elected in the forthcoming general election in 2023.
“He said insecurity begins while too many people are jobless, especially, the youth, we don’t need to go far to know the causes, the devil uses idlers to cause conflict, therefore the first thing to take to priority is education, and education is not about to go to school and get the certificates, we need to encourage more of vocational studies, we have too many young people in the streets who have raw talents but don’t have the requisite knowledge, we have to work on that, is not about buying guns.
Again we have started doing things on merit, give attention to merits, so that those we have the expertise in whatever area would be appointed so that they can do it excellently”.
“Nigerians need a leader who is determined to solve their problems that’s why I am here, I have the knowledge to solve those problems, all the solutions are there in those books that I gave to PDP secretary”.
“This country is better for me than anything else in my life, we will not allow our people to continue suffering”
“Maybe the time has come again for a journalist to take us back to glorious days and bring about positive changes, because our forefathers, some of them were journalists like me, what we need now is a leader who is on the ground, not a leader who will sit in Asorock and take pictures with people on a daily basis while Nigeria is on fire”.
“No must change the way we do things, he added”.
