INEC reopens collation centre in Asaba

THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reopened its collation centre in Asaba, the Delta State capital for the continuation of the announcement of results of the presidential election across the 25 local government areas of the state.

The INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Dr Cyril Omorogbe, had earlier announced the closure of collation and announcement at about 00:38 hours Sunday night after declaring four LGAs earlier.

He said the declaration of the results for the remaining 21 LGAs would resume later today at 7:00 a.m.

In the four LGAs earlier declared, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, won with a huge number of vote cast ahead of the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.
