DR Nentawe Tilwatda, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), in Benue, says the commission is “fully prepared” to conduct the Presidential/National Assembly polls on Saturday.

Nentawe told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Monday in Makurdi that regular INEC staff and ad hoc workers engaged for the exercise had been trained and were set for the exercise.

“The workers are already being deployed to the 5,102 voting points across the state. We are ready. Tell everyone that we are ready,” he said.

Tilwatda said that non-sensitive materials had been deployed to the Local Governments, while the sensitive materials would be deployed on Friday, ahead of the election.

He, however, regretted that a large number of PVCs had not been collected.
