Nasarawa State Governor-elect, Engr. Abdulahi Audu Sule, has on Thursday received certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) in the state.
The electoral umpire also issued certificate of return his Deputy, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe.
Presenting the certificates, the supervisory electoral commissioner, Kwara, Kogi and Nasarawa states, Mallam Muhammed Kudu Haruna, congratulated the Governor-elect, opposition parties and the entire people of the state for conducting themselves in ensuring peaceful and hitch free exercise.
Haruna, thanked them for exhibiting sense of maturity during and after the election, hoping that they would continue in same manner.

Earlier, Resident electoral commissioner in the state, Abduraham Uthman Adijagba, described Nasarawa state as “second to non in times of peaceful conduct.
“If INEC is to give peace award, Nasarawa State should have being the first to consider, because during the party’s primaries, campaign and elections; all was done peacefully.”
He then called on both all to jointly celebrate the success of conducting free, credible and peaceful poll.
In his acceptance speech, Engr. A A Sule, the Governor-elect, thanked INEC and everyone who contributed in the success of the exercise.
He extended hands of fellowship to those who contested with him to build a solidified and better Nasarawa State, adding that” the future of the state is more important than then the present.”
He assured to consolidate on Governor Tanko Umaru Al- makura’s administration, saying the Governor has tried in touching every facet of the state with infrastructural development.
