INEC declares PDP’s Kefas Agbu winner of Taraba governorship poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Tuesday morning, declared col. Kefas Agbu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was the winner of the governorship election held on Saturday, March 18th, 2023.

Prof. Muhammad Amed Abdulazez of the Vice Chancellor of Abubakar Tafawa university, the returning officer who declared the result at the INEC collation centre in Jalingo, announced that Kefas Agbu of the PDP scored a total of 257,926 to defeat his closes operate, Professor Sani Yahaya of the NNPP who pulled 202,277. In contrast, senator Emmanuel Bwacha of the APC scored 142,502 and Danladi Baido of SDP got 28,374.

Nigerian Tribune reports Agbu won 11 local governments out of the 16 local governments to emerge the winner of the contest.
