THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Tuesday, released a list of candidates contesting the Saturday, Garki Ward Councillorship of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and the Ifako Ijaiye Federal Constituency of Lagos State bye-elections, respectively.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by the Secretary to the commission, Mrs Augusta Ogakwu, four political parties and their candidates would contest the Garki Ward councillorship election
Also, six political parties and their candidates would be contesting the Ifako Ijaiye Federal Constituency election of Lagos State.
According to the statement, those contesting the Ifako Ijaiye Federal Constituency election are: Yusuf Olawale Fatai (AA); Adebayo Michael Akanbi (AD); Olugbenga Owolabi (ADC); Akinwunmi Olaitan (APC); Babatope Akinyele (PDP); and Ajiboye Olorunnisom (SDP).
The candidates and parties contesting the Garki Ward Councillorship election are: Hamza Muktar Lima (APC); Ikechukwu Nwabuaja (APGA); Sidiku Emmanuel (NCD) and Danladi Jezhi (PDP).
