Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie Noodles, has disclosed plans to reward ten lucky winners of this year’s edition of the Indomie Independence Day Award (IIDA), its multi million naira corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, with over N10 million educational scholarship worth.

Disclosing this, recently in Lagos, the company’s Group Public Relations and Events Manager, Mr Tope Ashiwaju explained that 10 winners will be awarded scholarship from the three categories of the award – Physical bravery, Social bravery and Intellectual bravery.

While the Physical Bravery category will acknowledge kids, who at great personal risk, saved lives or by their actions prevent extensive damage to property or others, the Social Bravery category will celebrate kids who work against social evils such as child marriage, illiteracy and environmental concerns.

The Intellectual Bravery category recognises children with innate abilities.

The company’s Group Managing Director, Mr Deepak Singhal, represented by its Head of Marketing, Mr Manpreet Singh noted that since its inauguration, the award had impacted positively on the lives of many Nigerian children, adding that the decision to raise the number of beneficiaries from three to ten, this year, was to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the initiative, which had so far produced a total of 27 beneficiaries.
