INAC 2019: Countries seek business, cultural exchange ties

The 2019 edition of the International Arts and Crafts (INAC) Expo has continued to open unique avenues for inter-countries investment opportunities with participating countries calling for more mutual business ties for them to benefit from each other’s areas of comparative advantage to build an enviable business and cultural bloc.

Some of the representative of the participating countries (Cuba, Tanzania, China and Spain), who spoke with journalists at the venue of INAC expo in Abuja said the INAC platform is strategic in strengthening bilateral ties as it brings them together under one roof to not only to celebrate but also to showcase the cultural richness and diverse splendour of the exhibiting countries for better understanding for themselves.

Speaking at the event, the Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Carlos Sosa, said the country was looking forward to improving its economy and that of Africa as it encourages cultural exchange programmes with Nigerians.

He explained that the expo which brings diverse artists together from different countries and especially meeting those at the host country would help artists and craftsmen mingle and exchange contacts in the course of the expo and in turn build a new bridge of oneness and better cultural understanding.

“Nigeria is doing beautifully well in promoting cultures of its sister countries which had assisted us to remain united.

“This year we should be able to explore our culture to translate it to wealth for us as individual countries and Africa,” he said.

Also the Spanish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Marcelino Ansorena was optimistic that platform is an advantage to understand, appreciate and celebrate each other but will also help to learn from Nigeria, adding that Spain wished to learn more of Nigerian culture in order to market to the world.

He said Nigeria was well endowed with beautiful arts and crafts and Spain would also be learning from Nigerian’s kinds of craft in the course of the expo.
