Apparently disillusioned by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, weekly sit-at-home culture, residents of Imo State yesterday called it quits and fully resumed their normal daily activities.
Our correspondent in Owerri who monitored the situation reports that vehicles and Okada riders flooded the roads.
Also, taxi caps that render intra-city services in the urban centres also appeared fully in the streets while markets all business centres operated maximally.
Public and private schools also witnessed a large turnout of pupils, students, and teachers in classes, just as civil servants were seen in their offices discharging their duties.
In the same vein, the hospitality industry equally boomed with activities as guests were seen trooping in and out of the hotels.
All the major markets both in the city and in the rural areas are also buzzing fully.
It would be recalled that Imo residents have so far witnessed over six Mondays of sit-at-home following the order by IPOB.
The dropping of the sit-at-home today came because of the statement issued last week by the Director Media and Publicity of IPOB, Mr Emma Powerful directing for a stop of the weekly sit-at-home order.
