Imo: NCCE/NBTE approves 49 courses for Benjamin Uwajumuogu Education College

The National Council of College of Education (NCCE) and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) have approved 49 more courses for the Benjamin Uwajumuogu College of Education, Ihitte/Uboma, Imo State

The Chairman and Board Director of the Institution HRH Eze Oliver Ohanwe disclosed this to Nigerian Tribune in Owerri Tuesday.

He said that already the institution had experienced continuous increase in student enrolment, adding that the College would become among the degree Awarding Institutions in the country as recently approved by the National Assembly.

Ohanwe who is the traditional ruler of Isiama Autonomous Community in Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State said that the team of the two educational regulatory bodies have already visited the institution.

According to him, the Imo State Government have injected a huge amount of resources into the institution he commended Governor Sen. Hope Uzodimma for his sustained logistics and moral support.

He assured that the board will take steps to enhance the security architecture of the institution to enable the students deepen their interest in the academic pursuit.

While acknokedging that the Institution supposed to be best among educational institution in the country, the Monarch equally assured that the board would take necessary steps to ensure that the 49 new courses approved are accorded accelerated  accreditation.
