I’m most suitable to succeed Ajimobi ―Deputy Gov

Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Mr Moses Adeyemo, on Monday, declared his intention to succeed his current principal, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, as next Governor.

Adeyemo formally made his intention to join the 2019 gubernatorial race in a letter presented to state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Akin Oke, at party Secretariat, Ibadan.

Buttressing the letter titled, “Gubernatorial race 2019”, Adeyemo said he decided to join the race in view of his six years experience in governance.

Adeyemo further avowed that he had remained a loyal progressive transversing parties like Action Group, Unity Party of Nigeria, Alliance for Democracy, Social Democratic Party and his current party, APC.

Drawing from his holding various positions across the different political parties, he averred that he was the most suitable candidate to succeed  Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

While asserting that he would abide by party stipulations, Adeyemo said he was bound to sustain the legacies and achievements of Ajimobi.

In welcoming the deputy governor now gubernatorial aspirant, party Chairman, Akin Oke said the party would follow due process leading towards who emerges the party’s flag bearer for the 2019 gubernatorial.

He lauded the bold step of Adeyemo, noting that all party members were eligible to vie to be the sole gubernatorial candidate of the party.

Adeyemo was received by APC party executives including deputy Chairman, Mr Isiaka Alimi; Mr Emmanuel Oyewusi;  Mr Goke Oyetunji; Mr Muraina Kakako; Mr Lanre Tijani; Mr Olawale Shadare; and Mrs Abiola Olaniran.
