I’m quitting music after my next album – Davido

Multiple award-winning Afrobeat artiste, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has hinted at the possibility of quitting music after the release of his next album.

The ‘Unavailable’ crooner made this known in a tweet on his verified X account late Thursday.

According to him, there are many people who desperately want him out of the music industry for undisclosed reasons.

He added that in order for them to have peace of mind, he would stop making music immediately after the release of his next album.

He wrote, “Yall niggas really want me out the game that bad ?? Oya after next album I no do again. So una fit get peace.”

Reacting to the development, an X user @the_Lawrenz wrote, “Oga you no do again because of why?? You go no where sir!”

Another user, @Abazzwhyllzz tweeted, “You are not going anywhere oo. If you stop singing then no Nigerian will sing in this country again.”

“Abeg ooo you must do oooo, wetin you want make we dey listen to?” @Dhavidote tweeted.

This is coming a few days after Davido and his colleague, Wizkid, reignited their online feud in a series of tweets on X.
