I’m ovewhelmed with emotions based on logistics—Efe, BBN 2017 winner

Published by

How do you feel been a winner of the season two edition of Big Brother Naija?

I feel great, honoured and grateful God because I believe I did not do it all alone; on my part I was just in the house doing what I know I do best but I never knew I have this much love outside the house until when I arrived and based on updates my brother has been giving me. I was just being real in the house and I can tell you authoritatively that the Efe you are seeing here is the real Efe as in the Big Brother house.

Was there anything you did differently in the house that gave you an edge over others?

I won’t say there was anything special that I did differently in the house because every other house mate came with the same motive as mine, which was to win the ultimate prize. I was just myself; some came with strategies which people got to find out in the cause of the competition. However, for me, it was just about going to the house, doing my thing and make it to the end. I feel I represent the average Nigerian youth whom we all know speak good English but when you are hungry and yarning for something, you tend to deviate to speaking Pidgin English.

What is the status of your relationship with Marvis?

Based on reality, in the house, I must say what we had was great but she has a boyfriend and I have been single even before I got into the house. Life must continue.

Were you truly attracted to Marvis?

Yes I was and we spoke about it. Even though we were married in the house, based on the tasks carried out and sponsored by Heritage Bank, as much as I like Marvis, I can’t force her to be with me as she clearly told me she would go back to her boyfriend.

What was the experience like to be locked up in a particular place for months?

It was crazy but I was less worried because I went there for the money because I already had the mind-set that if it was going to be 90days in the house, I was ready to go all out because all what was ringing in my head was the N25Million cash money. When we were told about the  ‘no mobile phones’ in the house, I told them even if my phone will be seized for two years, I was game.

Considering the different personalities of your fellow housemate, how were you able to cope with them?

For me, I learnt to be tolerance in the sense that some people have great personalities but they have unacceptable behaviors. I got to understand that you have compromise and relate with people despite any character of theirs that you don’t like. I learnt to live with them all and look at their positive sides.

During your stay in the house, week-in week-out, you are always nominated. How did you feel whenever your name was mentioned?

Personally, why I am overwhelmed with this situation personally, is that I grew up having this thinking that people naturally won’t like me. So, that is my own strong point. I don’t try to be nice to you because I already have the feeling that you don’t like me. This is why I knew I would always be nominated so I tried, as much as possible, to win the head of house task.

What was your thought on the statement by T-Boss that she would spend N25Million in a week?

I was totally shocked by her statement and I could remember that I gave a ridiculous look because if you can spend that much in one week, why come for the competition in the first place? I was happy the moment she was evicted from the top three leaving myself and Bisola. I guess she spoke out of anger; the irony of the house is that the younger ones tend to know how to manage their anger when it came to composure and the older ones just blow up.

Your  take on the issue between Kemen and T-Boss?

Based on logistics, my people say I no dey diplomatic and as the matter no concern me! No comment.

Are you also aware that comedian ‘I go Dye’ dropped One Million naira towards your campaign in the house?

Oh Boy! I was overwhelmed when my brother told me the news to me when I got back. I saw that he branded his car with my pictures on it. It just amazing that people came out to support me. Who I be? Top comedians including Ali Baba, AY, Osama, Akpororo, amongst others all came out on their own just to show me love and all this I appreciate from the depths of my heart.

So many artistes have tweeted to give support to you when you return including Olamide…

Yes! I have been told and I am seriously looking forward to working with Olamide and learning a lot from him; we both represent the street because he raps in Yoruba and I do mine in Pidgin. Big shouts to Wizkid too and every other Nigerian artiste who all believed in the brand Efe, based on logistics.

Now that you are out of the BBN; what is next for you?

It will be more of music because that is my first love but I realize the brand is far bigger than music and they will be lots of random things coming from me. I just know I won’t disappoint everyone that supported me thus far.

Have you thought about acting?

Acting? Well, based on logistics, if the money involved appeals to me, I fit try, I don’t feel like I know how to act because while in the house that was my greatest frustration.
