I’m not arrogant, Davido replies critics

Nigerian hip hop star, Davido, has come out strongly to debunk the claim that he is arrogant, saying he has remained humble despite the huge wealth at his disposal.

The IF crooner has come under heavy criticisms from a section of his fans, who branded him arrogant. But the singer, who welcomed his second baby from another woman days back, said he was surprised that people keep saying he was arrogant, saying “such claims were wrong and unfair”.

Speaking during an interview with Planet TV, Davido said “Go to any street anywhere in Nigeria, people will tell you that I am the coolest dude around. It is sad that people say I am arrogant, but I think the only way to change that impression is concentrate on my music and keep working hard to make life meaningful for people that come across me.”

On why he thinks people say he keeps misbehaving, the singer said “I think people say I misbehave because they don’t know what I control. Most of them don’t know what I have and they don’t have what I have. I can tell you that they will also misbehave if they control or have what I have.”
