While he may have made a remarkable impact in music in the last five years, by taking his songs to every part of Africa and beyond, the ‘bad guy’ appeared to have finally wormed his way into the hearts of many.
The gist in town now is that the rapper, who is the son of legal luminary, Femi Falana, is taking his trade beyond the musical surface, as he announced that he would be featuring in a new American drama series- Church.
Since the news broke on social media platforms last week, many of his fans have been asking questions and wanted to know what Falz was up to, but the rapper kept his card to his chest.
Days back, the Something Light crooner, broke the news of his new project that would see him feature in a new Hollywood drama series, and the announcement was followed by a floodgate of reactions from his fans and colleagues.
The rapper, who won an AMVCA in 2016 for his role in Jenifa’s Diary, signed a multi-season deal with BLK Prime, a Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) service available worldwide, and would play the lead role in the series.
Speaking on the new development, Falz said he was excited to introduce his character to audiences around the world and to be part of BLK Prime’s mission of offering diverse streaming entertainment worldwide.
“I am super excited that I am going to Hollywood. It is something that I am very proud of and I wish to take this new trade serious and make it count. Tell my mum and dad that I am going to Nollywood,” he said.
