I’ll run an inclusive govt if elected, says Maku

Nasarawa State Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Labaran Maku, has promised to run an all-inclusive government if elected as the next governor of the state.

He made the promised on Saturday in a meeting with non-indigenes in Karu Local Government Area (LGA).

According to him, anybody who resides in the state and is a voter would be appointed as a Commissioner provided he or she is qualified.

“Any society that wants to develop, must look beyond sentiment and appoint qualified persons with capacity to deliver.

“I will appoint persons with solutions to our challenges even if you’re an Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani, Angas, Hausa or any other settler in the state.

“We will replicate what is being practised in places like the USA and even Lagos where people are appointed irrespective of their indigenous status for our state to develop,” Maku added.

Maku also encouraged them to always stay and vote in the state because their wealth and investments are in the state, advising them to be much interested in who governed them in order to protect their investments.

The candidate also promised to appoint more women and youths to enable them to contribute their quota to the development of the state and train them for future responsibility.

He, therefore, called on the electorate to come out en masse to vote for APGA for peace, unity and development of the state.
