Buruji Kashamu
THE Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Buruji Kashamu, has promised to reduce tuition fees in state-owned tertiary institutions within 90 days of assuming office.
This promise is contained in a document entitled, “Our Covenant with Civil/Public Officers and Students” which was released on Tuesday by the Kashamu-Abati Campaign Organisation.

The document reads, “To relieve parents and students of the heavy burden of high tuition fees, our Administration commits to the reduction of tuition fees in the state-owned tertiary institutions within my first 90 days in office.”
The candidate also spoke of his plan to ensure adequate funding of public schools, the award of scholarship and payment of bursary as and when due.
“Public schools will be adequately funded, just as we shall ensure the payment of bursary to indigenous students and award scholarship to indigent and outstanding students,” Kashamu said.
