I’ll not take your mandate for granted- Osoba’s son promises constituents

Olumide Osoba

A House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi-Owode, Hon Olumide Osoba, has promised constituents not to take for granted the mandate given to him during the last legislative primaries with quality representation if elected into power in 2019.

Osoba represented the constituency from 2011-2015 and lost his re-election bid in 2015 when he contested for same seat on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2015 general elections.
The former lawmaker in a statement personally signed and made available to the Nigerian Tribune on Thursday, recalled how he facilitated over 60 infrastructural projects to the constituency.
Osoba, the son of the former governor of the state, Chief Olusegun Osoba, urged the electorate to appraise all the candidates jostling for the seat.
“As the campaigns commence, a critical appraisal of an individual candidate needs to be done by the very enlightened, exposed and sophisticated electorates of Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda Federal Constituency by keeping in mind the horrid representation they have experienced in the last four years and also, so that they don’t fall prey of the antics of a misfit.
“The time is now to rewrite the history of our Federal Constituency and put it on the right perspectives for future sake, once again,” he added.
