Stakeholders in the Iju-Osun community, Ondo State, have expressed their gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the construction of the 28-kilometre Iju-Osun/Akotogbo road.
In a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by Hon. Martins Rotimi, the community acknowledged the road project as a significant milestone in their development.
They praised Governor Orimisan for his vision and leadership in bringing the project to fruition.
The statement highlighted the positive impacts of the road, stating, “This project will greatly improve the socio-economic activities in our area, enhance connectivity, and reduce travel time.
“We are confident that it will have a profound positive impact on the lives of our people.”
Hon. Rotimi elaborated on the benefits of the road project, noting that it will improve connectivity between Iju-Osun and other parts of the state.
This, in turn, is expected to lead to increased economic activity and job creation. The road will also boost agricultural productivity by facilitating the transportation of farm produce and enhance tourism development by providing easier access to tourist attractions.
Additionally, the project is anticipated to reduce transportation costs, stimulate economic growth, and improve the overall quality of life for the community. Rotimi also pointed out that it will increase property values and contribute to reducing poverty, making Iju-Osun a better place to live and work.
The stakeholders also extended their thanks to Governor Ayedatiwa and lauded the State Commissioner for Economic and Budget Planning, Hon. Emmanuel Igbasan, for his tireless efforts in making the project a reality.
“His dedication and commitment to the welfare of our community are commendable,” Rotimi added.
