The Inspector General of Police, IG Kayode Egbetokun, will be visiting Ogun State on a three-day official visit from April 16 through April 18.
On arrival, Egbetokun will pay a courtesy visit to the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and also the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.
The police boss is expected to inspect the guard of honour at the command’s headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta. Later in the day, he will meet with police officers at the POWA Hall and equally address stakeholders.
The IGP is expected to commission a new building at the state headquarters, the Technical Intelligence Unit, and the Complaint Response Unit in Eleweran.
He will later commission the OluKayode Egbetokun Multipurpose Hall and Event Centre at Oke Ilewo.
Thereafter, he will proceed to Sagamu to pay a courtesy visit to the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, and the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebu Land, Oba Kayode Adetona.
The IGP will proceed to Ilaro on a courtesy visit to the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, on the third day of the visit.
