Another set of newly promoted police officers were on Tuesday decorated by the Inspector-General of Police, Dr Kayode Egbetokun, with a charge for them to discharge their new responsibilities with the application of their vast knowledge of policing.
The decoration took place in the IGP’s office at Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The IGP said that the officers’ promotion to new ranks is additional responsibility that would help in ensuring a safer country for all citizenry, which Nigeria Police Force keeps working towards in accordance with the rule of law.
The officers decorated include Assistant Commissioners, Chief Superintendents, Superintendents and Deputy Superintendents.
Among them is the former Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo, Delta, Benue State Police Commands and currently the National Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), ACP Olabisi Okuwobi.
Others are ACP Eguakun Uwa; IGP’s Principal Staff Officer 3, CSP Bukola Kuti; CSP Soji Obideyi; CSP Abubakar Danladi; SP Femi Adebayo and DSP Paul Unah.
