Igala Cultural and Development Association (ICDA) has appealed to the people of Kogi State to put behind whatever happened during the election and embraced peace.
This was contained in a press statement issued, on Wednesday, in Lokoja, by the National President and General Secretary of the Association, Alhaji Amodu Sadiq-Abubakar and Umar Agbo.
The group warns against all actions and attitudes that could breed violence, maiming and killings as a result of the election that was just conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
“It’s pertinent to note that leadership is ordained by only God and gives it to whom he wishes, that is why political stakeholders and youths in Igala, Bassaland should exercise restraint by avoiding actions that are capable of truncating the peace of the people we are all one nation irrespective of where you find yourselves”.
The group expressed its commitment toward ensuring total peace in all spheres.
