Grammy-winning Nigerian artist, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has said he might have ended up as a suicide bomber, oil thief, or even a prostitute if he had not pursued a career in music.
The singer made the startling revelation while interacting with a follower who asked what he would have been doing if he wasn’t an artist.
“There are many options, I could be stealing oil, I could be playing basketball, I could be a fraudster, a suicide bomber, anything, including a prostitute,” Burna Boy replied.
Meanwhile, the self-styled African Giant continues to set records internationally, recently becoming the African artist with the most entries on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. His collaboration with American rapper Gunna, WGFT, debuted at number 96 on this week’s chart, pushing his total entries to seven.
He also made history as the first African artist to debut on the Hot 100 in five consecutive years (2021–2025).
