  • Born on February 1, 1968, in Ipoti-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.

 

  • He had his primary education at Our Saviour’s Anglican Primary School in Ipoti-Ekiti. His secondary education was also in Ekiti State. He proceeded to Ondo State College of Arts and Science in Ikare Akoko, Ondo State.

  • Ayefele worked briefly as a journalist and broadcaster at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Ibadan, where he also produced jingles and musical works on radio.

 

  • Dr. Olayinka Joel Ayefele (MON) began his music career in 1997.

 

  • Yinka Ayefele is a Nigerian music producer, gospel singer, entrepreneur, radio presenter, and founder of Fresh FM and Blast FM network of radio stations across south-western Nigeria.

 

  • Other arms of Ayefele’s radio stations are opened in Abeokuta, Ado Ekiti, Akure, Osogbo and Lagos.

 

  • The tungba-highlife

The musician, Dr. Olayinka Joel Ayefele, has received over 500 awards. Among other awards are: Member of the Order of the Niger, awarded by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2011); Ekiti Cultural Ambassador Award and Presenter Extraordinaire (2015).

 

  • Uncle Yinka Ayefele will clock 56 tomorrow, Thursday, 1st of February, 2024.
