Ibadan: Wife allegedly stabs husband to death during argument

A 33-year-old housewife, Comfort Tinubu, allegedly  stabbed her 39-year-old husband, Olusegun Tinubu, during a dispute in Ibadan, according to the Oyo State Police Command.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Ibadan, stating that the case is being investigated by the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department.

He said, “The case is under investigation at the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department.

“Updates will be provided accordingly.”

The couple, married for three years with two children, lived in the Adegbayi area of Ibadan.

According to sources, the incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday following an argument, during which Comfort allegedly locked Olusegun out of their bedroom.

This led to a physical altercation, and she reportedly stabbed him in the back. The incident was initially reported at the Gbagi Police Station.

The source disclosed, “This resulted in a fight during which the wife stabbing the husband on the back.”
