Ibadan stampede: Ogbomoso Recreation Club condoles victims’ families

The Ogbomoso Recreation Club has commiserated with the Oyo State Government and most especially the families of the children who lost their lives during the stampede which occured in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Wednesday.

The club, in a statement signed by its President, Dr Akin Oladeji-Johnbrown and made available to journalists on Friday, described the incident as “unfortunate”.

“We join the State government, the people of Oyo State, and particularly the immediate families of the children who died as a result of this unfortunate incident.

“It is quite sad that this sad occurrence chose a period when people are looking forward to the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ to happen. We pray that God gives solace to the bereaved families and rest the souls of the little children that we lost in the incident,” the statement read.
