All the established artistes as well as the up-and-coming acts lined up for the concert gave a good account of themselves with brilliant deliveries. But the collaborative effort of the Shakiti Bobo exponent, Olamide, and Inetimi Alfred Odon, popularly known as Timaya, will remain indelible in the minds of most of the guests.
Telli Person, a joint work of Timaya, Phyno and Olamide, had a sublime impact on the Ibadan audience when it was performed last weekend.
Olamide was the first big act to grace the stage. His performance, which typically involved a playlist of hit songs namely “First of All, ”Voice of the Streets”, “Stupid Love,” “Durosoke”, “Alowomajaye,” “Shakiti Bobo”, “WO” among others, was often punctuated with invectives from street lingos. The crowd was pulled to the stage by it as there was call and response, singing and dancing and general raucous.
With the tempo already high, the emergence of the dancehall star, Timaya, could not have made any difference, except for the exceptional outcome of Telli Person’s rendition.

Joining Olamide on stage, Timaya unleashed Telli Person on the already excited crowd and the guests were hardly contained. They chanted, danced and screamed.
However, the effect of his performance on the audience began to peter out as he continued with more hit tracks. But in the end, the concert was the perfect way to celebrate Nigeria’s 57th Independence anniversary.
Other artistes that also shared the stage were Runtown, Yemi Alade, Axterix among others.
Two Nollywood actresses, Ebube Nwagbo and Mercy Johnson-Okojie, co-anchored the event, while Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Odunlade Adekola and Bolaji Amusan, also known as Mr Latin made cameo appearances.
