Ibadan Poly commences distance learning programme

Published by

The Polytechnic, Ibadan, has commenced Open Distance and Flexible e-Learning (ODFeL), a programme which “gives students the freedom to learn from anywhere at anytime.”

The rector of the institution, Professor Kazeem Adebiyi, disclosed this recently while speaking at the matriculation of students admitted to the programme for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Giving the assurance of quality education delivery to the students, Professor Adebiyi said ODFeL “enables you to deal with office, business, family and other constraints that may affect your conventional study at the campus.”

The programme, according to the rector, “offers students the advantage of studying from anywhere at anytime, easy course access, flexible tuition fees, uninterrupted academic calendar with the same certificate as full-time while graduands are also mobilised for the NYSC scheme.”

He said: “I want to assure you that the programmes being run in the centre are fully accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) as well as other relevant professional bodies.

“We also have qualified and dedicated academic staff to teach and impact you with the current knowledge in your respective fields.

“In addition, all facilities and other resources required to fully equip you for the challenges ahead are available and will continue to be improved upon.

“Apart from these, the centre is endowed with a well-equipped computer laboratory for usage by both ODFeL students and lecturers.”
