Ibadan philanthropist urges Tinubu to appoint Tejuosho as humanitarian minister

Ibadan-based Philanthropist, Dr Kazeem Akande has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Dr Halimat Adenike Tejuosho as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation as Minister.

Akande’s request is hinged by Tejuosho’s support to humanity through various interventions including widows, orphans and other vulnerable in the society.

In a statement personally signed by him and made available to Nigerian Tribune on Sunday, he described Tejuosho as a competent, loyal and capable citizens who can be entrusted with positions of responsibility with little supervision to deliver.

The Philanthropist who is the founder of Akande Tunde Movement (ATM) as well, described Tejuosho as a humanitarian who have awarded scholarships to Nigerian students in foreign universities.

 

He said that Tejuosho is a Nigerian who has distinguished herself as a true humanitarian to be appointed as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Akande who is also an educationist expressed the optimism that the appointment of Tejuosho would help the ministry develop its policies and provide coordination of National and international humanitarian interventions.

Adding that, the Tinubu’s administration needed capable hands like Halimat Tejuosho to deliver on its election promises.

“Today I join all concerned Nigerians across the country who have been agitating and consulting widely for the appointment of this seasoned humanitarian as a Minister.”

“I want our President to succeed and put enemies of Nigeria to shame and to do this, our President will need strong hands who share his vision and commitment to Nigeria . One of such people is Halimat Tejuosho who can help Tinubu deliver on its election promises”, he concluded.
