Ibadan community begs Makinde over deplorable roads, poor drainage system

Residents of Iletuntun and adjoining communities in Ido Local Government Area have appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde regarding the deplorable roads, poor drainage system, and lack of other essential social amenities in the area.

The appeal was made during the commissioning of developmental projects and fundraising for the execution of others at Iletuntun community over the weekend.

The chairman of the community, Engr. Olasunkanmi Okuneye, emphasized that the provision of infrastructure is key to the progress and development of the affected communities.

He commended the donor of the entrance gate project, Hon. Adedeji Adebowale, for his philanthropic gesture, noting that it will further enhance the security architecture in the community.

While commissioning the project, the Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sherif Adeojo, stated that the donor and the community had set a positive example by collaborating with the government. He emphasized that this partnership is vital, as the government alone cannot address all the needs of the people.

He praised the donor, describing him as a proactive individual who has demonstrated his capability to represent his people and consistently meets their demands.

Dignitaries at the event included the Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibe, traditional rulers, community leaders, and representatives from security agencies, among others.
